Sideshow and Janus Movies have purchased U.S. rights for Chinese language director Jia Zhangke’s epic drama Caught By The Tides, following its buzzy world premiere in competitors at Cannes in Could.
Written by Jia and Wan Jiahuan, the movie follows a deeply transferring love story over a 23-year time span towards the backdrop of explosive progress in China.
