An earthquake measuring a magnitude of 4.7 has hit Malibu and different close by communities, in keeping with quite a few early experiences.

The quake, initially reported as a 5.1 however later downgraded, was felt in Hermosa Seaside, La Mirada and elements of the San Fernando Valley. Town of Anaheim has reported “no recognized points or issues” at the moment.

“We’ve felt a rolling, pronounced earthquake in Anaheim,” the town of Anaheim posted on X. “Early experiences put it at 5.1 (topic to alter) close to Malibu.

“We’ll monitor experiences and services with no recognized points or issues in Anaheim at the moment.”
