EXCLUSIVE: Daddy Points has secured a second season on the BBC.

The collection, starring BAFTA-winning Intercourse Schooling actress Aimee Lou Wooden and The Strolling Useless’s David Morrissey, will return after turning into the largest comedy launch on BBC3 since 2022.

Created by Danielle Ward (Brassic), Season 1 of Daddy Points adopted Stockport-based Gemma (Lou Wooden), who discovers she’s pregnant after a random hook-up.

Together with her sister Catherine (Sharon Rooney) in jail and her mum Davina (Susan Lynch) touring all over the world to search out herself, Gemma had no alternative however to show to her hapless father Malcolm (Morrissey) for assist.

Daddy Points is produced by Fudge Park Productions, the corporate based in 2015 by Iain Morris and Damon Beesley, writers and creators of The Inbetweeners.

Jon Petrie, director of comedy on the BBC, and Fiona Campbell, the BBC’s controller of youth viewers, commissioned the second, six-part season alongside Seb Barwell.

The director is Beesley (White Gold), producer is Lynn Roberts (Man Like Mobeen) the manager producers are Phil Gilbert (White Gold) for Fudge Park, alongside Lou Wooden, Morrissey, Ward, and Beesley. Fremantle is dealing with world gross sales.

Lou Wooden mentioned Daddy Points was the “most enjoyable I’ve ever had on a job,” whereas Morrissey mentioned Ward’s writing is “humorous and heartwarming.” Ward added that she “can’t wait to crack on with their persevering with adventures.”
