To the editor: I used to be unhappy to be taught that we received’t have extra of Washington columnist David Lauter’s nice writing in The Occasions. (“Greatest lesson from my 4 many years of protecting politics: Put together to be shocked,” column, Nov. 23)
Once I noticed his work, I at all times learn it and grew to like it. His items have been lucid, informative and good-hearted — stellar as columnist Steve Lopez’s work, however completely different.
I want Lauter an extended, blissful retirement.
