The second Future Imaginative and prescient convention in Australia is welcoming a few of the nation’s hottest new creators.
Confirmed for the Melbourne occasion are Deadloch creators Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan, The Newsreader‘s Michael Lucas, Carry Her Again co-writer and co-director Danny Philippou, Invisible Boys‘ Nicholas Verso and Vanessa Gazy, creator of Netflix’s 2022 collection Echoes.
McCartney and McLennan, often known as the Kates, will seem alongside Lucas and Gazy on the Tuesday and Wednesday of the three-day occasion, which runs from July 14-16.
A day prior, on the opening Monday, Philippou, who alongside along with his brother Michael Philippot is co-writer and co-director of worldwide horror hits Discuss to Me and Carry Her Again and not too long ago featured on our podcast Crew Name, will be part of Tig Terera (Swift Avenue) and Catherine Smyth McMullen (The Sandman) for a Future Voices and Disruptors panel.
They’ll be becoming a member of the likes of Child Reindeer creator and star Richard Gadd, Joyful Valley author Sally Wainwright and Pachinko‘s Soo Hugh on the occasion, which will probably be held on the ACMI in Melbourne, Victoria.
