To the editor: The Catholic Church is in mourning for Pope Francis, some of the influential non secular leaders of the trendy period. Throughout this time of reflection on his life, in blunders the president of america, posting a picture of himself dressed up as a pope (“Trump attracts criticism with AI picture of himself because the pope forward of the papal conclave,” Could 3). In doing this, he makes a juvenile effort to spice up his ego and mocks our traditions of mourning and the number of a brand new pope.
This picture spits on our beliefs. Compounding this are the statements from President Trump’s allies, some Catholic, both dismissing it or diminishing its obnoxious intent. It’s one factor for non-Catholics to lampoon what we maintain expensive. However for the president of america to participate in this type of habits is past the bounds.
