To the editor: I’m glad Insurance coverage Commissioner Ricardo Lara is investigating State Farm (“Indignant owners and a state probe. What went incorrect with State Farm’s L.A. fireplace response,” July 7). We misplaced our dwelling to the wildfires and have listened to many Zoom calls the place we heard horrific tales from fireplace victims being mistreated by their insurers.
Two recommendations: I believe somebody wants to take a look at the advert {dollars} State Farm spends. It looks as if that cash can be higher spent serving to victims and never passing on 17% value will increase to its prospects.
Secondly, I want that every one the insurance coverage corporations wouldn’t require us to stock every bit of misplaced property. This can be a ridiculous and arduous demand and practically inconceivable. If these corporations insured us for our contents, then they clearly knew as a lot as they wanted to about what we owned and gladly took our insurance coverage premiums over time.
