EXCLUSIVE: D. Smith’s breakout documentary Kokomo Metropolis, a prime contender for Oscar recognition, will make its debut on Showtime and Paramount+ on February 2, Deadline can reveal.

The movie, which has gained awards all over the world, will turn into out there for streaming as a part of the Paramount+ with Showtime plan very first thing Friday, February 2, and can premiere on the Showtime linear platform that evening at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Magnolia Footage launched Kokomo Metropolis theatrically over the summer season, starting in New York and Los Angeles.

Smith, a two-time Grammy nominated producer, singer, and songwriter, made her directorial debut with Kokomo Metropolis. Along with directing, she edited and shot the documentary. She additionally produced the movie, together with Harris Doran and Invoice Butler. The manager producers are Emmy winner Lena Waithe, Rishi Rajani, Stacy Barthe, and William Melillo.
