NEW DELHI: The newest in a string of hoax bomb threats made to Indian airways compelled an Air India airplane to make an emergency touchdown in Canada, the airline stated on Tuesday (Oct 15).
The passenger plane, flying from India’s capital New Delhi to Chicago, was the topic of “a safety menace posted on-line” and as a “precautionary measure” has landed at Iqaluit Airport in Canada, Air India stated.
The plane and passengers have been being “re-screened as per the laid down safety protocol”, the corporate stated.

Indian media reported that an Air India flight from Mumbai to New York was diverted mid-air to New Delhi after a false alert on Monday.
