Canady has thrown each pitch for Texas Tech throughout its unprecedented run. Per ESPN’s Jake Trotter, Canady is the primary WCWS pitcher to throw each pitch for a crew that reached the finals since former UCLA ace Rachel Garcia (2019).
Coming into Monday’s semifinal towards four-time defending champion Oklahoma, Canady had thrown 362 consecutive pitches this postseason. She threw one other 106, together with 75 strikes, within the 3-2 walk-off win.
