WARSAW: Main EU international locations are prepared to supply defence and monetary assist to Ukraine if the US reduces help, Polish Overseas Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stated on Tuesday (Nov 19).
He was talking on the 1,000th day of the Russian invasion of neighbouring Ukraine, as overseas ministers from six main European international locations held talks in Warsaw dominated by the conflict and Donald Trump’s return to energy.
Prime diplomats from France, Germany, Italy and Poland joined the assembly, whereas Britain’s David Lammy and Spain’s Jose Manuel Albares took half by video.
“I word with appreciation the readiness of the biggest European Union international locations to imagine the burden of army and monetary help for Ukraine within the context of a doable discount in US involvement,” Sikorski informed reporters after the talks.
The Warsaw gathering adopted a gathering of all EU overseas ministers in Brussels and comes as Trump’s return to the White Home threatens a drastic change in US coverage almost three years into the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
