Paul Burstein wrote an extended, impassioned essay on his fears of antisemitism if Israel’s warfare with Hezbollah expands. Antisemitism is flawed and will certainly be condemned.
However it could have been good if he had talked about only one single empathetic phrase for the practically 40,000 Palestinians, largely ladies and youngsters, who’ve been killed since Oct. 7. Some protesters hurled antisemitic tropes however the many who didn’t have been joined by Jews sympathetic to the plight of harmless ladies and youngsters dying.
As a professor and position mannequin, it could be good if Burstein was like a number of the Jewish college students who need the killing to cease.
