To the editor: The hypocrisy and stupidity of the voters is staggering. (“California doesn’t have to decide on between public security and prison justice reform,” editorial, Nov. 7)
Californians rushed to approve Proposition 36 as a result of they’re involved about crime they usually need therapy for drug-related minor crimes (for which there is no such thing as a funding).
President-elect Trump succeeded in convincing voters that undocumented immigrants are accountable for a disproportionate share of crime. But the info present in any other case.
Furthermore, the frequent mass shootings on this nation are largely dedicated by “good previous” white male U.S. residents.
And whereas many declare themselves to worth regulation and order, they’ve elected an adjudicated sexual abuser, a convicted felon, a pathological liar and an insurrectionist to essentially the most highly effective place on the earth.
As they are saying, “Solely in America.” Welcome to the unique group that individuals so disdainfully name the “banana republics.”

To the editor: The Occasions makes the favored vote sound unhealthy. What occurred to democracy? Does it solely apply to leftist points?
Let’s construct extra prisons to maintain the general public secure and make it clear to criminals that if you happen to commit against the law, be ready to do time. That is sensible to most individuals.
