To the editor: I’m a registered Republican. I’ve been a Republican since I supported Barry Goldwater for president in 1964. At the moment, I used to be the Republican coordinator for Espresso County, Ala. We carried Espresso County and the state of Alabama for Goldwater. (“Listed here are 4 marketing campaign guarantees from Trump. What are their probabilities if he wins?” Oct. 16)
Since then, I’ve not left the Republican Celebration; the Republican Celebration has left me. Through the years, it has slowly shifted away from the core conservative ideas that it had in 1964.
When Donald Trump determined to run for president in 2015, he struck me as a doofus who was completely unqualified to be president. So, when he acquired the Republican nomination in 2016, I voted for the Democratic candidate. For the lifetime of me, I couldn’t work out why so many individuals had been being taken in by his lies and ridiculous reasoning.
This yr, it’s even worse. Once more, I’ll vote for the Democratic candidate simply to register a vote in opposition to Trump. God assist america if Trump once more turns into president.

To the editor: I don’t suppose Trump actually thought it by beforehand when he determined to talk on water conservation, allocations and environmental legal guidelines whereas standing on his golf course in Rancho Palos Verdes in September.
He mentioned he would “revert water up into the hills the place you’ve got all of the useless forests,” and that we must always not fear in regards to the water for an endangered fish that’s “not making it anyway.”
Right me if I’m mistaken, however doesn’t it take an enormous quantity of water to keep up a golf course? If he actually needs to place his cash the place his mouth is, how about making the golf course 9 holes as an alternative of 18? He can’t have it each methods.

To the editor: What, to a transgender particular person, is the selection introduced by this election?
One candidate will persecute us by no matter means he can get away with if he wins. The opposite is aware of this and coasts on our votes whereas struggling to not be seen with us.
It’s as if the vice chairman would somewhat faux that we don’t exist. Maybe I ought to knock on doorways with a bag over my head?
