PARIS: It was a possibility to impress the world as Paris opened the 2024 Olympic Video games with a spectacular present within the coronary heart of the French capital.
For the primary time, an Olympics opening ceremony was held outdoors a stadium. Athletes sailed down the River Seine, cheered on by tons of of hundreds of people that lined the streets in torrential rain.

The historic boat parade
1000’s of athletes from all over the world sailed down a 6km stretch of the river Seine from the Austerlitz bridge within the east to the Eiffel Tower, on 85 barges and boats.
