Talking to reporters in Basta, accompanied by two Hezbollah lawmakers, Ghalibaf denounced what he known as Israel’s “crimes”.

“Worldwide organisations and the UN Safety Council have the potential (to cease Israel) however they’re sadly conserving silent,” he stated.

Earlier Saturday, Ghalibaf met Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, who informed him his authorities’s precedence was “to work in direction of a ceasefire”, Lebanon’s official Nationwide Information Company (NNA) stated.

Mikati had on Friday urged the United Nations to cross a decision calling for an “rapid” ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah.

Ghalibaf informed reporters after assembly his counterpart Nabih Berri, a key Hezbollah ally, that Iran “will definitely help the choices of the Lebanese authorities, the Lebanese folks, and the resistance (Hezbollah) on this interval”.
