TEHRAN: Iran mentioned on Wednesday (Aug 20) it was ready for any new Israeli assault, asserting it has developed missiles with higher capabilities than these used throughout their latest 12-day battle.
“The missiles used within the 12-day battle had been manufactured … just a few years in the past,” Defence Minister Aziz Nassirzadeh mentioned, quoted by the official IRNA information company.
“At the moment, we have now manufactured and possess missiles with far higher capabilities than earlier missiles, and if the Zionist enemy embarks on the journey once more, we’ll undoubtedly use them.”
In mid-June, Israel launched a bombing marketing campaign towards Iran, triggering a battle wherein Iran responded with missile and drone strikes.
The Israeli offensive killed senior navy commanders, nuclear scientists and a whole lot of others, placing each navy websites and residential areas.
The US briefly joined the battle with strikes on Iranian nuclear services.
A ceasefire between Iran and Israel has been in place since Jun 24.
