EXCLUSIVE: Sport of Thrones alums Kristofer Hivju and Harry Lloyd have boarded Iris, the Sky thriller from Luther creator Neil Cross.
Hivju will play Jensen Lind, a tortured genius and sensible scientist, whereas Lloyd is Hugo Pym, an immaculately composed thriller man who takes on a senior place inside The Cash, the group that bankrolled lead Cameron McIntyre’s challenge.
The pair, who performed Tormund Giantsbane and Viserys Targaryen respectively in Sport of Thrones, are joined in Cross’s collection by Marco Leonardi (Nuovo Cinema Paradiso, Anime Nere), Angela Bruce (Silver Haze, Physician Who) and Lorenzo De Moor (A Easy Favor 2, Dolce High quality Giornata). Described by its creator as “unapologetically thrilling,” Iris follows the titular character, a rootless and enigmatic genius who steals a code from charming philanthropist Cameron McIntyre and goes on the run. Armed solely along with her deadly intelligence and chameleonic appeal, the clock is ticking for her to work out what the code might unleash earlier than she is discovered.
The collection comes from Cross, greatest identified for creating BBC smash Luther starring Idris Elba, and will likely be directed by Terry McDonough (Breaking Dangerous, Higher Name Saul). Iris is a Sky Studios and Fremantle co-production. Wildside is offering manufacturing companies in Italy. The collection is directed by McDonough and Sarah O’Gorman, and the SP is Tim Bricknell.
