Israel on Thursday (Mar 14) defended its insurance policies on admitting vehicles into Gaza, calling on the United Nations to ship extra convoys of support to the war-ravaged territory.

“If the UN needs to see extra support in north Gaza, it ought to coordinate extra convoys,” stated Elad Goren, head of the civil division at COGAT, a defence ministry physique governing civilian affairs within the occupied Palestinian territories.

Goren additionally stated 99 per cent of support vehicles despatched to Gaza have been “accredited”, pushing again on experiences by the UN and NGOs that cumbersome Israeli inspections are blocking meals and different necessities.
