John Calipari’s first NCAA Event recreation as head coach on the College of Arkansas was topsy-turvy, to say the least.

Tenth-seeded Arkansas handed seventh-seeded Kansas a 79-72 loss in a recreation that was a story of two halves.

The Razorbacks took a 47-44 lead into the locker room at halftime, however scoring slowed to a crawl within the second half. Kansas’ zone protection bewildered the Hogs, who scored solely 21 factors within the first 18 minutes of the second half.

Nevertheless, Kansas was unable to capitalize. Within the last minutes, the Jayhawks made an abundance of turnovers, permitting Arkansas to shut out the sport. With 1:47 to go, a 3 from Johnell Davis gave Arkansas a four-point lead, and free throws from Davis and D.J. Wagner sealed the deal and despatched Arkansas to the Spherical of 32.
