The Maryland Woman Terrapins improved to 12-0 (2-0) on the season with a 72-66 victory over No. 19 Michigan State on Sunday.
The loss for Michigan State was its second in a row after beginning the season 11-0.
Kaylene Smikle led the cost for the Woman Terps with 19 factors, three rebounds and two assists. Saylor Poffenbarger collected her fourth double-double (14 factors, 10 rebounds) within the win.
Bri McDaniel contributed 12 factors off the bench and Shyanne Sellers had a powerful all-around recreation with 11 factors, six rebounds and 7 assists.
Theryn Hallock was Michigan State’s main scorer with 20 factors. Julia Ayrault completed with 17 factors and 12 rebounds, good for her fourth double-double of the season.
Jocelyn Tate did so much for Michigan State, ending with seven factors, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and three steals.
Maryland will return to motion on Jan. 2 in opposition to Rutgers earlier than a two-game stretch in opposition to No. 24 Iowa and No. 4 USC.
Michigan State will get a better stretch of video games because it won’t face a ranked opponent till Jan. 25 in opposition to arch-rival Michigan.
