Stephen Graham, Ashley Walters and Erin Doherty are fronting a splashy one-shot Netflix sequence from the creators of Boiling Level and co-produced by Brad Pitt‘s Plan B Leisure.
The Irishman star Graham can be creating and writing Adolescence with Jack Thorne, whereas Philip Barantini is directing.
Unveiled at a Netflix UK showcase earlier this 12 months, Adolescence tells the story of how a household’s world is turned the other way up when 13-year-old Jamie Miller (Owen Cooper) is arrested and charged with the homicide of a teenage woman who goes to his college. Graham will play Jamie’s father and ‘applicable grownup’, Eddie Miller. Walters stars as Detective Inspector Bascombe, and Doherty is Briony Ariston, the medical psychologist assigned to Jamie’s case.
Adolescence is at the moment filming within the UK. As with the Boiling Level film and TV sequence, every episode is filmed in a single unflinching steady shot, holding concentrate on the principle characters and the drama because it unfolds in actual time.
The present will carry collectively stars of two of Netflix’s greatest hits, Walters, who performed Dushane Hill in High Boy, and Doherty, who was Princess Anne in Seasons 3 and 4 of The Crown.
