To the editor: I learn that Rebecca Grossman, convicted of second-degree homicide, is alleged by prosecutors to have misbehaved in jail previous to sentencing. She believes the jurors had been “unhealthy” and never on her aspect.
Had she adopted established legal guidelines on observing velocity limits, she wouldn’t have killed these two youngsters in Westlake Village and needed to face a jury. She should not notice that our jury system has been in place since 1630. It have to be onerous for her to grasp that it was her actions that introduced her earlier than a jury of her friends.
Because of her actions, two younger, harmless brothers, Mark and Jacob Iskander, misplaced their lives.
Even individuals with ample sources should obey legal guidelines to guard our society as an entire. Go determine.
Clearly, the jury bought this proper. Our highways and streets are safer with Grossman in jail.

To the editor: Grossman was discovered responsible by a jury of her friends, who she now thinks ought to have been on her aspect. How unlucky that she’s now involving her daughter, which places her in danger.
You’ll assume that previous to her sentencing of as much as 34 years to life in jail, she would present some reflection.
I’ll not know the Iskanders personally, however this neighborhood nonetheless feels the horror of these youngsters’s deaths and the disappointment that can proceed with the mother and father.
