Ridley Scott is opening up about his relationship with Russell Crowe forward of Gladiator II’s premiere in theaters later this 12 months.

Crowe starred within the 2000 movie directed by Scott, wherein he performed Maximus Decimus Meridius. The actor, who received an Oscar in 2001 for his position within the Scott movie, isn’t a part of the sequel as a result of his character tragically dies ultimately.

“The plot, frankly, was proper underneath our noses,” Scott instructed Empire journal about Gladiator II. “I feel it was so shut underneath our noses that we thought it was too easy.”

He continued, “I feel [Crowe is] nonetheless the most effective actors on the planet, and I feel we now have a great relationship. I hope we do. So long as he doesn’t begin bitching about how he wasn’t consulted. Why would I? He’s useless!”

Crowe has been open along with his sentiments over the Gladiator sequel and not too long ago commented on the movie.
