Kudos to My Take creator Rick Fordyce, whose roofing story is redolent of the cedar bushes we love.
Whereas Fordyce started roofing from Granite Falls and round Seattle in 1972, my shake-packing job close to Forks financed a Kawasaki 750 that plied Freeway 101 to Edmonds — the place I started roofing homes in 1973. Sure, Jimi Hendrix was within the air.
