SINGAPORE: Singapore on Wednesday (Sep 25) referred to as for the reform of the United Nations Safety Council, together with constraining the train of the veto by the 5 everlasting member states.

In his assertion to the Safety Council, he urged them to “constrain the train of the veto”.

Dr Balakrishnan mentioned that the broader UN should agree “on how the veto is exercised sooner or later” and that Singapore “stands prepared to debate this additional on the Basic Meeting”.
