EXCLUSIVE: Acorn TV, the AMC Networks-owned streamer, is exploring the artwork world in its newest unique crime drama.

The streamer has greenlit Artwork Detectives starring and exec produced by Stephen Moyer.

The True Blood star, who just lately starred in PBS’ reboot of The Forsyte Saga and Paramount+’s remake of Attractive Beast, performs artwork loving DI Mick Palmer within the collection, which is centered across the Heritage Crime Unit police division. Alongside straight-talking DC Shazia Malik, performed by The Lazarus Challenge’s Nina Singh, the pair resolve murders linked to the world of artwork and antiques, from Previous Grasp work, to Banksy avenue artwork, medieval manuscripts and collectible vinyl.

Within the collection, the artfully astute detectives encounter a pretend Vermeer, Viking gold, a uncommon Chinese language vase and gadgets rescued from the Titanic.
