Police have arrested protesters in London for supporting activist group Palestine Motion, which was banned at midnight in the UK.
“Officers have arrested greater than 20 folks on suspicion of offences below the Terrorism Act 2000. They’ve been taken into custody. Palestine Motion is a proscribed group and officers will act the place legal offences are dedicated,” the Metropolitan Police wrote on X on Saturday.
Marketing campaign group Defend Our Juries stated in a press launch that 27 folks, together with a priest and various well being professionals, had been arrested for offences below the Terrorism Act.
They have been holding cardboard indicators, saying: “I oppose genocide. I help Palestine Motion.”
Passersby reacted to the arrests because the police intervened within the demonstration at midday.
