Michael Rosenbaum, who performed Lex Luthor in Smallville, is opening up in regards to the concept he has for a sequel sequence in an animated type.
In a brand new interview, Rosenbaum revealed he and Tom Welling had been creating an animated sequence with the unique forged and creators of the present that originated in 2001 on the now-defunct WB community.
“All I might share is that it’s an excellent concept. We’ve got Al [Gough] and Miles [Millar], the creators of Smallville, backing us up,” Rosenbaum mentioned in an interview with Display Rant. “When it’s the proper time, we’d wish to go and do that: pitch to Warner Bros. It must be the proper time, and proper now is just not the proper time.”
He continued, “We had the strike, we had a change of executives at DC — one being one among my finest associates on the earth, James Gunn. When the time’s proper, I feel it’s one thing that’s a no brainer except they produce other concepts. We’d love to do it — the entire forged want to do it.”
Rosenbaum famous that he has “an idea of what the present is” and mentioned the entire forged of Smallville “would voice their very own character from the present.”
Smallville ran for a complete of 10 seasons — 5 on The WB and one other 5 on The CW. The sequence starred Welling as Clark Kent, Kristin Kreuk as Lana Lang, and Rosenbaum as Lex Luthor. Different forged members included Eric Johnson, Sam Jones III, Allison Mack, Annette O’Toole, John Schneider, John Glover, Jensen Ackles, Erica Durance, Justin Hartley, and Callum Blue, amongst many others.
Because the revamped DC Universe takes form below James Gunn and Peter Safran’s management, it was determined to finish the Superman & Lois tv sequence after 4 seasons. The choice was made to not compete with the live-action movie Gunn is engaged on with David Corenswet because the Man of Metal, which is scheduled to open in theaters on July 11, 2025.
