That wasn’t the case when Serena Williams was operating roughshod over the tennis world. The American icon made the highest 50 checklist yearly from 2010 to 2018 and remained within the prime 100 in 2021 and 2022, regardless of getting into only a few tournaments.

Sportico’s new checklist of the 50 highest-paid athletes of all time has Williams standing tall as the only real girl, coming in at No. 40 forward of legends resembling Kevin Garnett, Evander Holyfield and Andre Agassi.
