LONDON: A UK police officer went on trial on Wednesday (Oct 2) charged with the homicide of a black man in London two years in the past.
Firearms officer Martyn Blake, 40, denied a cost of murdering Chris Kaba, 24, who was shot within the head on Sep 5, 2022.
Prosecutors instructed the Outdated Bailey court docket the taking pictures was “not fairly justified or justifiable”.
Kaba was struck by a single gunshot fired into the automobile he was driving within the Streatham space of south London.
His automotive, which was linked to a firearms incident the day gone by, was being adopted by police on the time, and compelled to a cease.
A jury heard that Kaba was making an attempt to drive away from police when the incident occurred.
