WASHINGTON: US lawmakers on Thursday (Feb 6) introduced forth a Invoice to ban Chinese language synthetic intelligence program DeepSeek from getting used on authorities units over issues about consumer information safety.

Consultant Josh Gottheimer, a New Jersey Democrat, launched the Invoice together with Darin LaHood, an Illinois Republican, citing an “alarming risk to US nationwide safety” and warning of “direct ties” between DeepSeek and the Chinese language authorities.

The Invoice comes after a Wednesday report by Feroot Safety, a US cybersecurity agency, discovered that the AI mannequin accommodates hidden code able to transmitting consumer information to China Cellular, a state-owned telecoms agency.
