WASHINGTON: Minnesota Governor Tim Walz accepts the Democratic nomination for vp on Wednesday (Aug 21) with 11 weeks to go earlier than he and presidential working mate Kamala Harris face Republican former President Donald Trump within the 2024 US election.
Walz, 60, a army veteran, former highschool instructor and soccer coach, will discuss rising up on a farm in Nebraska, his household and freedoms that Democrats say are underneath assault from Trump, who’s making his third run for the White Home as a Republican.
Walz has introduced a folksy attraction to the marketing campaign path, describing himself and Harris as “joyful warriors” targeted on a brighter future, in distinction to Republicans who they are saying are stoking concern and division.
