As he departed from Los Angeles on Friday night time, President Trump responded to the information of Pete Hegseth’s profitable affirmation as Protection Secretary.
As The Gateway Pundit reported, the Senate voted on affirmation of Pete Hegseth Friday after a 51-49 vote on Thursday to invoke cloture and break the filibuster.
RINO Senators Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) and Susan Collins (R-ME) on Thursday voted in opposition to advancing Hegseth’s nomination to a ultimate ground vote.
RINO Mitch McConnell (R-KY) then joined his fellow RINOs voting in opposition to Hegseth Friday, teeing up a tiebreaker vote by Vice President JD Vance. Vance was the tiebreaker, voting in favor of Hegseth’s nomination.
President Trump responded on Reality Social, “Congratulations to Pete Hegseth. He’ll make an awesome Secretary of Protection!”
After a roundtable convention on the wildfires in Los Angeles, California, President Trump spoke to the press and responded to the information.
He confirmed no regard for the three RINOs who voted in opposition to Hegseth when requested about McConnell’s vote and as an alternative cheered on the victory. “I simply heard that we received. Profitable is what issues, proper?” Trump stated.
Watch under:
Trump: I am honored to have Pete. I feel Pete’s going to be an awesome Secretary of Protection, Pete Hegseth, and we’re honored to have him. I feel Pete goes to be an awesome Secretary of Protection.
Reporter: Are you disillusioned that McConnell voted no?
Trump: I did not even know that, no. I do not know that. I simply heard that we received. Profitable is what issues, proper? So thanks very a lot everyone.
