Corridor of Famer David Ortiz, the previous Boston Pink Sox star, backs Boston third baseman Rafael Devers within the third base controversy that arose earlier this week after the group’s signing of Alex Bregman. And he is spot-on.
On Monday, Devers mentioned the recent nook is his place after reporters requested him whether or not he’d be OK enjoying elsewhere to make room for Bregman, who gained the Gold Glove at third for the Houston Astros final season.
“You aren’t speaking about simply one other ballplayer,” Ortiz instructed Z101 Digital not too long ago. “You’re speaking about Rafael Devers, the present David Ortiz-type participant the Pink Sox have.”
