US Lawyer Common Pam Bondi named the pinnacle of the DEA as DC’s “emergency police commissioner” which is able to “grant him powers of a police chief,” AP reported.
Bondi’s resolution to call Terry Cole as DC’s emergency police commissioner comes as President Trump federalized DC to quell the violence.
The AP reported:
Lawyer Common Pam Bondi has named the pinnacle of the Drug Enforcement Administration as Washington’s “emergency police commissioner,” saying she is granting him the powers of the police chief amid the federal takeover.
Bondi stated in an directive issued Thursday night that DEA boss Terry Cole will assume “powers and duties vested within the District of Columbia Chief of Police.” The Metropolitan Police Division “should obtain approval from Commissioner Cole” earlier than issuing any orders, Bondi stated.
Crime is hovering in DC, particularly juvenile crime, due to the Democrats’ far-left insurance policies.
This week DC’s Police Chief Pamela Smith surprised the general public when she appeared confused after a reporter requested her in regards to the chain of command.
“What does that imply?” Pamela Smith requested the reporter as Mayor Muriel Bowser swooped in and took over the mic.
WATCH:
I’ve by no means recognized of any police chief who doesn’t know what “chain of command” means
Perhaps the primary piece of cleansing up crime in DC is to reform hiring practices
