Chemistry Nobel Prize Acknowledges Three Protein Researchers
Demis Hassabis and John M. Jumper have been a part of a Google DeepMind group whose A.I. know-how predicts protein shapes. The College of Washington’s David Baker designed “a brand new protein that was in contrast to another,” the Nobel committee mentioned.

The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences has (…) has as we speak determined to award the 2024 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with one half to David Baker, College of Washington, U.S.A., for computational protein design. And the opposite half, collectively, to Demis Hassabis and John Jumper, Google DeepMind, United Kingdom, for protein construction prediction.
