The IEEE Ethics and Member Conduct Committee (EMCC) obtained a grievance towards Zhiqian Bo, an IEEE Senior Member. For functions of identification solely, Zhiqian Bo is a former Chair of the IEEE Energy and Power Society China Chapter Council whose time period as Chair resulted in 2020. Following an EMCC investigation, a Listening to Board appointed by the IEEE Board of Administrators discovered that Zhiqian Bo violated Part 5 of the IEEE Code of Conduct and Part 1 of the IEEE Code of Ethics. The IEEE Board of Administrators sustained these findings and imposed the sanction of Expulsion from IEEE Membership for Zhiqian Bo, in accordance with IEEE Bylaw I-110.5.
