To the editor: In a press release on the Aug. 4 warehouse social gathering taking pictures, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass stated: “This mindless violence and lack of life is devastating and people who are accountable have to be held accountable. There will probably be no tolerance for violence on this metropolis. My ideas are with the victims and their households. We are going to proceed to work collectively to maintain L.A. protected” (“2 lifeless, 6 wounded in ‘mindless’ mass taking pictures at warehouse social gathering in downtown L.A.,” Aug. 4).
No slam in opposition to Bass supposed, however I’m pretty positive her quote may have been copied, virtually verbatim, from any variety of involved native politicians 10, 20, 30 and even 50 years in the past right here in Los Angeles.
Progress on gun management? We’ve met the enemy and he’s us.
