The New York Jets have gone retro with their main emblem for the upcoming season, and the person who created it believes that entitles him to some compensation.
Jim Pons, who created the Jets’ emblem within the Nineteen Seventies, has filed a lawsuit towards the group. In keeping with the lawsuit, which was obtained by TMZ, Pons says he created the emblem in 1978 when the group was searching for a redesign. Workforce officers beloved the design and used it for practically 20 years till 1997.
The Jets started utilizing Pons’ design part-time once more in 2022, calling the emblem a part of their “Legacy Assortment.” They wore uniforms that includes the retro emblem in Week 1 final season when Aaron Rodgers suffered a torn Achilles.
The Jets have acknowledged that Pons created the emblem. The group interviewed Pons earlier this offseason for a characteristic through which the previous musician defined what went into designing the “JETS” emblem that includes a jet wing.
