MOSCOW: Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone name on Monday (Jan 15) with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, discussing Ukraine and wishing one another nicely in upcoming elections, the Kremlin mentioned.

The 2 leaders “expressed curiosity in additional intensifying mutually useful bilateral ties” and touched upon “the state of affairs in Ukraine”, based on a press release posted on the Kremlin’s web site.
